Arts for All January Newsletter!

Ella Mason

Happy New Year! We have had such a busy January that it feels like it's lasted such a long time!

We hope you all had a great festive period and are enjoying the new year of 2025 so far.

Here is what we've been up to...

Tony's Birthday

We started our week back with a celebration of Tony's birthday - we went out for a lunch at the Bike Shed, and Tony obviously enjoyed receiving lots of love and gifts!

Lots of Kids Club activity

We've made ceramics, jewellery, dream catchers, mini clay models of various creatures, Picasso inspired pictures and plenty more...

A spontaneous encounter with Sophie Tea

Randomly, Ella saw Sophie Tea walking down the street near Arts for All and decided to go and introduce herself and the charity. It turns out Sophie was looking for a wall to paint on, so she came down with her little granny trolley of paints and did this beautiful mural around our clock.

We loved meeting her, and hope it is not the last thing we do with her!

A visit to our friends at the Hart Hotel

We went to see all of our friends over at The Hart Hotel - the Rainbow Club love visiting!

An abstract painting workshop with the Rainbow Club

Inspired by our visit from Sophie, we set to work with an abstract painting workshop, which the Rainbow Club absolutely loved.

An event celebrating a decade of exceptional Charity Films

Caroline and Ella attended an event hosted by the Media Trust and City Bridge Foundation, celebrating 10 years of exceptional charity films. We were selected as one of the films, which was screened before a Q&A with us about what the film has done for us. We were followed by a speech from Sara Putt, the Chair of BAFTA - which was exciting!

A drawing workshop with the Rainbow Club

Another really enjoyable drawing lesson with the Rainbow Club - we think an exhibition should be on the agenda after seeing these masterpieces.

A pottery session at Columbia Road Clay

The Rainbow Club had the best morning visiting Columbia Road Clay, where they all made their own bowls! It was such an amazing session, they are left with huge smiles on their faces!

Our Connecting and Building Community Event & Auction

Where do we begin with the event... it was such a wonderful evening, thank you so much to everyone who joined us! The auction was incredible, and our host, Will, really made it fun!

A visit to WEIL

The Rainbow Club went down to WEIL for a fun creative session making works on canvases and seeing their beautiful office space - and obviously amazing sandwiches were involved.

Wow... what a great month to reflect on. We have such a wonderful and busy year ahead with loads of plans in place already.

Our 2025 Goals

We would like to reiterate what we spoke about at our event, for anyone who wasn't able to make it! We went through our goals for 2025 and also how people can help, so please do get in touch, don't be a stranger - we would love to see lots of faces this year in our clubs and also for general catch ups.

  • Our main goal, is ofcourse to ensure our clubs remain vibrant and full of opportunity for all members.

  • We want to hold atleast two exhibitions this year - hopefully more!

  • We would love to offer further support to our community outside of the clubs.

  • Financially, our goal is to raise a minimum of £170k in order to keep the charity running. Some of this will be reached through grants and charitable organisations.

  • We launched our running initiative late last year, and it has been off to an amazing start already, with projections of £20k in total to be raised. We would love to make that more! We still have spaces in plenty of runs - please do get in touch with us about this.

  • We would like to create and maintain great relationships with our corporate partners.

  • We would like to gain more exposure, and improve our marketing strategies.

  • We would like to gain more consistent volunteers, as well as any remote volunteers to help with outreach and marketing.

How You Can Help

  • You can put our name on the desk of the person who deals with charitable relations within your workplace!

  • Please do put us in touch with anyone who might be interested in getting involved with the charity.

  • You could do a fundraiser for us - like a run, or a tough mudder.

  • You could come and volunteer, or volunteer remotely!

  • Please follow us, and support and share on socials.

  • And finally, be an advocate for us! Shout out about us, tell your friends and family about us, or email a business you think would align well with us to see if they would be interested in working with us!

Anyway, thanks so much for all of your support already - we really appreciate it.

Enjoy Febuary, and we will be back to let you know what we've been up to again next month!
