September has been a wonderful month; here’s a look at everything we’ve been up to!

Southwark Cathedral and Borough Market

We spent a lovely day with the Rainbow Club wandering through Borough Market, looking at all the interesting stalls and, of course, enjoying some lovely free samples along the way!

We also explored the beautiful Southwark Cathedral, where everyone enjoyed sitting in all the important chairs! We finished the day with a lovely coffee and cake in the café.

The kids club is back in action!

We are so pleased to have the Kids Club back in action after the summer holidays! It’s been wonderful to welcome everyone back and see so many creative individuals excited to come along to Arts for All.

Robots making

Paper cups, lots of paper, a few split pins and some very creative minds came together to create lots of fantastic robots! Everyone loved this activity, and we had some wonderfully imaginative creations. A big thank you to Charli for coming up with such a brilliant idea!

Pottery is back

Last month, we had a lovely day in Newmarket with our good friends Stephen and Stephanie, where we enjoyed some pottery painting. We’ve now received our creations back after they were fired, and they have all turned out fantastically! Everyone was so pleased to see their finished pieces, and it was lovely to see just how different and creative each one was.

Crazy cactuses

Houseplants that don’t need to be watered - what could be better?

The Kaleidoscope Club had a fabulous time using lots of green paint to create their very own cardboard cacti. This was such a fun activity and was perfect for everyone, whatever their age. We think they look fantastic!

Devon trip has commenced

The annual and much-awaited Devon trip has arrived! This is the 11th year we have stayed at this hotel, and everyone seems to enjoy it more and more each year. Devon really is such a special place for everyone at Arts for All, and it’s always a highlight of the year. We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helps to make this trip possible. We know how much it means to everyone, and we are so grateful to everyone who helps make these memories happen year after year.

Glass fusing

We started the week with a wonderful glass-fusing class, making cats and dogs! Everyone created their own glass animals, and they each have a magnet on the back, ready to take pride of place on everyone’s fridges. We think they look fantastic and can’t wait to see them displayed at home!

Welly wanging

What a fantastic game this was! The concept is very simple: throw a welly as far as you can! But we all had such a brilliant time. There was lots of laughter, and it quickly became one of the highlights of the trip! We would highly recommend giving welly wanging a go. We certainly couldn’t stop laughing!

Lovely pub trips

There are so many lovely pubs in Devon, and we have been very lucky to enjoy a drink in a few of the local favourites. The guys have loved going back to some of their favourite pubs, playing Jenga, cards and Uno, and of course having a good old chat with the locals.

Day out in Tavistock

We had a lovely day exploring Tavistock, browsing the charity shops, visiting the fudge and flapjack shops and, of course, stopping for a lovely coffee along the way. We were also blessed with some beautiful weather, which made for a perfect day out.

Memorial for Robert and Harvey

Devon holds such a special place in the hearts of everyone at Arts for All. Over the years, it has given us so many wonderful memories and special moments together, so it felt like the perfect place to create something in memory of our dear friends Robert and Harvey.

The guys each painted their own stones, and Charlie also hand-painted some lovely slates. Together, they have created a little place of remembrance for two very special people.

Robert and Harvey will always hold a special place in our hearts, and now they have a permanent place in a location that meant so much to all of us.

Hackney Half 2027

We are so pleased to announce that we now have the official sign-up link for the Hackney Half 2027! The general run sign-ups have already sold out, but we still have plenty of spaces available through the charity. If you are interested in taking part, or know someone who might be, please get in touch! We will cover the £155 entry fee for your place; we simply ask for a minimum of £400 in fundraising. If you would like any more information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at artsforall.tabatha@gmail.com.
