As the summer came to an end, and kids returned to school, we have resumed our Kids Club as usual - but the fun hasn't stopped!
The Lion King, and a lovely lunch
On Wednesday 7th September, our adult group went on a day out to see The Lion King in the theatre. We went for a lovely pre-theatre lunch before enjoying the show. It was such a wonderful day out in memory of our friend and member of Arts for All, Harvey. The group have asked if we can go again next year!
The Arts for All exhibition!
On Wednesday 14th September we had our annual exhibition, which was full of everyone's amazing London themed work. There was an animal show, face painting, ice cream and lots of fun!
With special thanks to Awards for All, for funding the event, and their ongoing support of the charity.
Connecting with the community
We had a wonderful session with the adults at the Art and Soul Club at St Peters Bethnal Green, who are a local church welcoming anybody from the local community to their art sessions. A huge thank you to Ali who welcomed us so warmly, the adult group absolutely loved it and particularly enjoyed the tea and biscuits. The sessions are held every Wednesday from 1.30 - 3pm.
Volunteers and Corporate Charity Days
It's been so lovely to have more and more volunteers joining us during our sessions. These corporate charity days make such a huge difference during the club, first and foremost because it gives the adults and children new faces to interact with, which they love, but also as it offers our very small team support as well as builds these great relationships with different companies around London, which is vital for our funding.
If you know of any companies who do these volunteer schemes please do put us in touch with them!
Coming up in October...
We are heading on our annual trip to Devon at the beginning of October, which the adults have been excited about all year long.
For any questions on how to get involved with the charity, please do get in touch with either Caroline or Ella on the below:
