When we have funding we organise outings and trips based on requests and suggestions made to us by the children. Listed below are details and photos of our previous outings.
On 25th July we took a coach full of families to Hever Castle in Kent - The ancestral home of Anne Boylen. Once again the sun shone for us and we had a great time. Some went into the castle to soak up the history of this beautiful place. All of us basked in the beauty of the grounds and the children loved the adventure playground, the Water Maze and other Mazes, and they had a go at archery. At 2.00pm we all processed up to a back frield and thouroughly enjoyed watching a re enactment of a jousting tournament!!! So much fun!
On 15th July we took adults from all the groups we run throughout the week for a fun filled day to Margate in Kent! We had the most wonderful day! The sun shone and we enjoyed the sandy beach, paddling in the sea, the fish and chips and ended the day off at Huckleberry's Tearooms for ice cream and Knickerbocker-glories! A perfect day out!
St James' Park, London
We had a wonderful sunny day out in St James’ Park. We watched The Changing of The Guard at Buckingham Palace, had a picnic, saw the pelicans being fed and did some art work as well!
We had a wonderful day out at Colchester Zoo meeting all the animals, having a picnic and spending time with friends!
Day trip to Oxfordshire
On a sunny day in August we went by coach to the house of one of our Trustees in Oxfordshire. It was a great opportunity to catch up with friends as well as doing some pottery at Simply Potty
